Terms and conditions

Effective date: 18 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions explain how you may use khau.store and how a future purchase from Khâu will be agreed. They apply to both the US and UK versions of the site. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights in the country whose law protects your purchase.

1. About Khâu and contacting us

Khâu is operated by EXORA STUDIOS PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202401662E), with its registered office at 470 North Bridge Road, #05-12, Bugis Cube, Singapore 188735. Our leather watch straps are made by hand in Vietnam and dispatched from Ho Chi Minh City. Our Singapore registered office is not a dispatch location or a parcel return address.

Contact [email protected] or +84 966 660 730 for product questions, complaints, cancellations or privacy requests. We will provide the correct receiving instructions before arranging a return to our Vietnam workshop.

2. The store's current status

Khâu is currently open for browsing, design exploration, AI Try-on and enquiries. You can complete a design, add it to your bag and review it on the checkout page. Online payments are not open and the website is not accepting paid orders. A product page, shopping-bag selection, checkout review, saved design, AI image or enquiry does not create an order, reserve stock or require you to pay.

“Price on request” means we will confirm the price and specifications with you. A catalogue entry or coming-soon design is not a promise that every material, colour or configuration is immediately available. We will confirm workshop availability and destination eligibility before accepting any order. Do not send money or payment-card information in response to a website preview or an unsolicited message claiming to be Khâu.

3. Product descriptions and handmade variation

Our collection focuses on genuine leather watch straps stitched by hand. The material stated for the individual product matters: cowhide, goatskin, cordovan and exotic leathers have different characteristics. We will confirm the material, dimensions, lining, stitching, hardware, personalisation and any special import requirements before you commit to a purchase. We will not substitute a different material or agreed specification without your approval.

Natural grain, scale patterns, tonal differences and small handmade variations make individual leather pieces distinctive. Screen settings and lighting can affect colour. These variations do not excuse an item that is faulty, incorrectly described or materially different from the agreed specifications. Contact us about any detail that is important to your purchase.

Watches, props and other items shown for styling are not included unless the written product specification expressly includes them. A compatible strap is not a product made by, affiliated with or endorsed by the watch brand merely because a brand or model is mentioned to explain fit.

4. Choosing the fit and customising a design

Check your watch's lug width and provide accurate wrist measurements and requested lengths. We can help you interpret the fit guide before you order. Selecting a size or seeing a simulated preview does not measure your wrist or establish compatibility with every watch case.

The Custom 3D viewer illustrates design choices. Its geometry, texture, colour and proportions may differ from the final handmade piece. Only the configuration and specifications we confirm in writing form part of an agreed purchase. If a catalogue design has no matching 3D profile, another display must not be taken as an exact rendering of that product.

Engraving and genuinely bespoke specifications will be identified before any order is accepted, including their effect on change-of-mind cancellation. Simply being handmade or made after an order does not automatically remove any statutory cancellation right.

5. Optional AI Try-on

Try-on is a free beta styling tool. Choose a strap and fit, add a wrist photo, agree to the stated AI processing and request a preview. No account is required. The current allowance is three previews per browser during a rolling 24-hour period; short anti-abuse limits and service availability also apply. We may change or suspend the free feature prospectively, but this does not change rights connected with an accepted purchase.

Only upload a photo you own or have permission to use. Do not upload a child's photo, someone else's image without permission, identity documents, intimate content or unlawful material. Do not automate submissions, bypass usage controls, attack the service or attempt to access another person's preview.

AI may change your skin, anatomy, watch, colour, stitching or other details. A result is an illustrative simulation, not an exact reproduction, a physical measurement, a product guarantee or a recommendation on health or safety. An AI image is not evidence of the precise item we will supply. The Privacy Policy and the consent notice explain the third-party processing and temporary retention. Removing a local result does not recall images already sent to the provider.

You retain any rights you have in the uploaded photo. You give Khâu only the permission needed to process it, transmit it to the named provider at your request and return the temporary preview. This permission does not authorise us to publish your photo in marketing or claim that you endorse Khâu. We do not promise exclusive rights in an AI output or that every generated detail is free of third-party rights.

6. Quotes, prices and order acceptance

Before accepting any future order, we will provide a written summary of the product, quantity, agreed currency and total price, applicable shipping charges, payment method, taxes or import charges, estimated production and delivery periods, cancellation rights and return arrangements. If a processing or delivery estimate exceeds a statutory default, we will obtain your agreement to the longer period. Do not rely on an estimate for a time-critical gift without confirming it with us.

US pages use US dollars and UK pages use pounds sterling when a price is displayed. A payment provider or your bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees if you choose another currency. We will not change an accepted total or substitute another design without your agreement. If a listing or quote contains an error, we will explain the correction before acceptance and give you the choice to proceed or decline.

An order is accepted only when we expressly confirm acceptance and the agreed terms in writing. A request, automated receipt or payment attempt alone is not acceptance. When checkout is introduced, any additional checkout information will be shown before payment; it does not retrospectively alter an order already accepted. We do not currently operate subscriptions or recurring charges.

7. Production, delivery and import requirements

Production and international transit are separate stages. The confirmed order will state an estimate for each, including whether days are calendar or working days. Dispatch is from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Review our Shipping and delivery policy and the final quote for the destination, charge and timescale. Until final schedules are confirmed, do not treat a catalogue estimate as a guaranteed arrival date.

Tell us promptly about an incorrect address or a parcel that appears lost, delayed or damaged. We will help investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy. A courier delay does not automatically remove your rights to delivery, cancellation or a refund under applicable law. For consumer purchases, transit risk passes when you or your nominated recipient take physical possession, except where mandatory law provides otherwise, such as when you independently commission a carrier we did not offer.

We will explain before an order is accepted whether duties, import VAT or clearance charges are included or payable separately. Exotic leather products may need wildlife-trade or customs documentation and may not be eligible for every destination. We will confirm the material and shipping route; we will not misdescribe a parcel, understate its value or dispatch a restricted product without the required arrangements.

8. Returns, cancellations and refunds

Our Returns and refunds policy provides a 30-calendar-day request window after delivery for standard, non-engraved items, with no restocking fee. Follow its conditions and contact us for return instructions. Customers cover change-of-mind return shipping; Khâu covers necessary return shipping for manufacturing faults, incorrect items and transit damage. Do not send a parcel to the Singapore registered office.

Engraved items are excluded from our voluntary change-of-mind returns, but faulty, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed items remain eligible for the remedies required by law. Where a genuinely bespoke item is exempt from a statutory change-of-mind right, we will explain that before you order. We will not use “handmade” as a blanket cancellation exclusion.

For eligible UK distance purchases, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after receipt and then have a further 14 days to send the goods back, subject to applicable statutory exceptions. You may inspect the goods as you would in a shop. For a statutory cancellation, we refund the standard outbound delivery charge as required; an upgraded delivery supplement need not be refunded. Our voluntary 30-day offer does not shorten these rights or rights relating to faulty goods.

Eligible refunds go to the original payment method within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods, or sooner if required by law. For a UK statutory cancellation involving goods we have not offered to collect, the refund is due without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after we receive the goods or your evidence of sending them back, whichever is earlier. Where that withholding rule does not apply, the applicable cancellation-notice deadline applies instead. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the credit. If goods arrive faulty or damaged, we will arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund in line with your rights; the voluntary return window is not a limit on statutory remedies.

To cancel, email [email protected] with a clear statement, your name, address, order reference and delivery date. You may use: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for [goods], ordered on [date] and received on [date]. My name and address are [details].” No particular form is required where the law permits another clear statement.

9. Website use and content

You may browse the site, save your design and use previews for your own shopping decisions. Do not copy or resell the site as your own, extract protected content for commercial reuse without permission, introduce malware, interfere with security or misuse contact details. This does not restrict any use the law permits without consent.

Khâu's original branding and website materials remain subject to their applicable intellectual-property rights. Third-party photos, licensed craft films, source credits and trademarks retain their respective owners' rights. A Khâu watermark does not transfer ownership of an underlying third-party work. Where images have been restyled or scenes digitally branded, they are illustrative; licensed craft films are not recordings of Khâu production and do not imply a maker's endorsement.

10. Service issues and responsibility

We take reasonable care with the site and will address material errors when notified. Temporary outages, third-party AI failures or unsupported devices may affect previews. Nothing in these terms promises uninterrupted service or perfect simulation accuracy.

Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights concerning goods and services. We remain responsible for losses for which applicable law makes us liable. A beta label or third-party provider does not remove those responsibilities.

11. Complaints, applicable law and changes

Please contact us with your order reference or a description of the issue so we can try to resolve a complaint. You retain access to any court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, an exclusive foreign court or a waiver of protections you receive as a consumer in your home country.

We may revise these terms for future use of the website and future orders by publishing a new effective date. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required. An accepted purchase remains governed by the terms agreed when it was accepted, unless you agree to a change or the law requires one. Your personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
